The waves looked beautiful as the tied carried them in and out,
Washing up items forgotten in time, shells, a boot, a watch,
A porcelain white head washes ashore, pristine, pure,
It was beautiful, flawless, although it bore a sad expression,
Its lips where down and its eyes sank low sadness,
Next a foot, a leg, a arm, all where pulled ashore,
One by one I put them together, like a puzzle,
The twilight turned to day and shone over us,
Its beams illuminating its glory and beauty,
I spent all day putting it together and now the sun sets,
As I affix the head a smile shines across the face,
As I go to admire it, the sea reclaims it with its monstrous hands,
So I sit back down in the twilight and wait with hope,
That maybe once again I can fine beauty in these waves of trash.
